Beachwood Cafe - shot for California Home and Design magazine - September 2012 issue

Hey, twice in one day!!!  I'm on a roll......

Here are some outtakes of some portraits I did for California Home & Design magazine for the April 2012 issue...  the story is about California artists....   The art director asked to approach the portraits in a non traditional way but to still show the artists in there space or with a representation of their work.....  It was a bit challenging as in every instance I had not seen the locations until the shoot day and often I didn't get much time with the artists....  but it was certainly fun!

Guess I've been getting a bit bad about not posting in a very timely matter....   My studio gig has been taking up a lot of my time lately and although its not a very good excuse I have been rather behind on my other updates....

That being said, a few weeks ago I photographed Antonio Ballatore of HGTV's 'Antonio Treatment' for California Home & Design Magazine.  He is a really cool guy, super nice and easy to work with....  Here are a few variations of the portraits I grabbed that afternoon.......
